WIPF celebrates Gov. Makinde as he appoints First Female Secretary.

NGO, supporting women in leadership, Women In Politics Forum(WIPF), celebrates Governor Oluseyi Makinde of Oyo state for Appointing the First Female Secretary to the State Government.


The group led by Ebere Ifendu, (President), says this move is a "pacesetter" for Oyo state.

Ifendu in a statement says, "Indeed, Nigerian Women celebrate you and recognize this act as a giant stride towards bridging the gap in the marginalization of women in politics and decision making in Nigeria."

"We wish to further use this medium to advocate that your administration will be a door for more inclusion and participation of women in Oyo State politics and governance."

The 43-years-old Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, was sworn in on Monday, July 1st to manage the SSG office.

She has over 26 years experience in various multinational organisations where she held various lead human resources roles with specialisation in areas such as business partnering, talent management, and employee relations.
