A girl was kidnapped from her parent, raped and murdered in Mumbai.

A five-year-old girl was kidnapped from her parent, raped and murdered in Mumbai, India on Thursday, 7th February, 2019.


Mumbai have been reported to have uncontrolled cases of sexual attacks on women and young girls. Now the women have been forced to learn martial arts in order to defend themselves.

The girl in question was abducted in the city's Mahim neighborhood early Thursday while sleeping with her parents and three siblings in a pavement shack.

Her parents approached officers after realizing their daughter was missing. Her body was found shortly afterward on the roadside nearby.

An autopsy confirmed she had been raped.

Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner Vikram Deshmane, said initial investigations suggested only one person was involved. Police are checking CCTV footage of nearby buildings to see what they can get.
