Latest on Dino Melaye: Hospital Transfer & Refusal To Enter DSS Hospital, Sleeps On the Floor.

Following the capture of Nigerian Senator, Dino Melaye, leading to his breakdown in health, the Police on Friday, 11th January transfered him to the DSS Hospital for further medical attention.


According to the police, Senator Deno Melaye arrested allegedly due to conspiracy and homicide attempt committed on 19th July, 2018.

"Senator Dino Melaye under investigation and currently in Police custody on a fourteen (14) day remand warrant obtained from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court on 9th January, 2019, for the offence of criminal conspiracy and attempted culpable homicide, committed on 19th July, 2018, when Senator Dino Melaye and his armed thugs attacked Police personnel, shot and wounded SGT Danjuma Saliu on stop and search duty along Aiyetoro Gbede, Mopa Road in Kogi State."

The Senator was however transferred to the DSS Medical Hospital in Abuja after he was certified well and healthy by Police medical team but continued complaining of health issue.

On warrant, he is to stay with the Police for fourteen days to enable investigation.

In the same vein, Senator Dino have refused to enter the DSS Hospital due to fear and decided to sleep on the floor outside the premises feeding on only groundnuts and water.
