Police Arrest Four Notorious Manufacturer of Fake Drugs at Ikotun, Lagos

The Nigeria Police Force on Friday, 14th December paraded and arrested four notorious manufacturer of fake drugs at Ikotun, Lagos.


The arrested suspects are:
i. Emeka Madu aka Cabara 47yrs - Owner Of the suspected Fake Drug Manufacturing Factory
ii. Eze Young 26yrs – Staff in the suspected Fake Drug Manufacturing Factory
iii. Chijoke Umunna 19yrs – Staff in the suspected Fake Drug Manufacturing Factory
iv. Kingsley Obilo 22yrs – Staff in the suspected Fake Drug Manufacturing Factory

The were caught at No. 2, Okunnenye Street, Ikotun Egbe, which also happend to be their major hideout in that area.

The successful operation was led by Operatives of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by the Commander of the Unit, DCP Abba Kyari.

The suspects were caught in the act of producingfake drug with Machines fabricated for processing, manufacturing and packaging.

The Police were able to collect these exhibits:

i. Plastic Buckets of different types suspected fake drug

ii. Cartons of packed suspected fake drug for distribution

iii. A vehicle being used for the distribution of the suspected fake drug

iv. Large quantity of unprocessed suspected chemicals and substances used in manufacturing the suspected fake drug

v. Several Machines fabricated for processing, manufacturing and packaging of the suspected fake drug

vi. Forged pharmaceutical papers

Investigation, according to Jimoh Moshood, is still going on, efforts to arrest other suspects have been intensified and the arrested suspects have admitted their various criminal roles.
