Retired FRSC Marshal, Shakiru Kuku loses Daughter to Benin - Ore, Lagos Road.

Touching Wednesday as Retired FRSC Marshal, Shakiru Kuku looses his last daughter to the cold hands of ever busy Busy Benin - Ore, Lagos expressway while going to school, on Wednesday, 16th May.

The 300L student of Human Kinetics at the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUDE). Ijebu Ode, Ms. Kofoworola Kuku was crushed to death by a moving truck while on a bike going to school.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Sector Commander in Ogun, CLEMENT OLADELE, who confirmed the incident, attributed the death of the victim to impatience and wrongful crossing of the expressway by the motorcyclist conveying her.

OLADELE said the motorcyclist survived unscathed but the victim was knocked down by the speeding truck and died on the instantly.

The FRSC officials said the victim’s corpse was evacuated by the FRSC rescue personnel and deposited at the morgue of the State Hospital in Ijebu - Ode.

“It’s a very sad occurrence because the victim was the daughter of a retiree of the FRSC. “She was the last child of an FRSC Marshal, SHAKIRU KUKU, who retired two years ago”.

OLADELE added that  normalcy had been restored to the hitherto riotous situation caused by the students of TASUED on the Benin Ore expressway over the victim’s death.

The Okada rider and the truck driver was later apprehended by the police and being held at the Igbeba Police Command in Ijebu - Ode.
