"I wouldn't like my daughter judged by the amount of salt she put in a plantain"- Joy Bewaji at Sworte Talks3 #swortetalks
"I wouldn't like my daughter judged by the amount of salt she put in a plantain" is a key point made by Joy Isi Bewaji at Sworte Talks 3, held at the Muson Centre, Onikan on Saturday, 30th April, 2016.
The program got interesting as the moderator, Tabia Princewill wielded her skill of questioning and answering between the panel and audience.
The panel consist Joy Isi Bewaji, Mrs Fadeke Adepetun, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of "Trinity House Church" , Ese Walter of "Femina Speaks Media" and of course Toke Makinwa, the "Queen of Relationships".
This month's SWORTE TALKS (Stories Worth Telling) theme is about Relationships: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, anchored by Mr TOKS.
Just as the theme states, it flowed from marriage, singleness, dating, and so on not forgetting the fact that Tiwa's marriage issue was high interest - about that, I am not a big fan of women complaining but Tiwa is a strong woman, she tried in that relationship.
Mrs Adepetun believe the fathers should take special responsibility in training the boys as the mothers, the girls. "Our husbands need to train our sons". But passion made Bewaji to ask the men "What does it take to make your own food?" Now that's for the married.
Still on it, Pastor Ighodalo, pointed the fact that "Being Born again doesn't mean that a marriage will work". If so sup with this talk of being a strong christain or "born again" before you can marry a chorister? Just asking.
Toke Makinwa who almost got into tongue lashing with Walter, was on contrary of "those" who preferred "divorce' to making marriage work says "I had daddy issues". This was due to fact that she lost her parent at tender age and when ever she was broken she called on her daddy to make her strong.
The National Anthem in a cappella by Melody got people thinking but if you missed someone, it should have been this poet. Donna Sodipo's "Life Is Too Short", poem with difference.
Now you have insight of how the show went… just don't forget to saaaaay SNIP!
Next will be on the 19th of June, 2016.
